Alright so yesterday I got totally stuck trying to find the whole WVU basketball schedule for 2025. Figured I’d just type it into the big search engine, right? Big mistake.
Typed in “wvu basketball 2025 schedule” and whoa, results were all over the place. News articles about last season’s games, ticket reseller sites pushing random dates – nothing solid. Felt like hitting a wall immediately.
Shifted to the Fan Hangouts
Okay, plan B. I remember those WVU fan groups on social media are usually on top of things. Jumped onto the platforms where fans yell about Mountaineer stuff.
- First stop was Twitter. Scrolled through fan accounts and hashtags. People ranting about recruits and transfers, arguing about last season’s losses… but nobody actually posting the full 2025 list. Dead end.

- Found the “Schedules” link finally! Clicked it. Boom. 2024 season staring back at me. Scrolled down looking for a 2025 option. Nada. Zilch.
- Saw a link labeled “Future Schedules”. Got excited! Clicked it. Felt a surge of hope… crushed instantly. It showed like one game in 2026 and that was it. Where’s 2025?!
Started clicking every menu item on the basketball page – News, Roster, Videos. Desperation setting in.
The App Hail Mary
Sitting there frustrated, remembered someone mentioning the official team app. Searched the app store on my phone for “West Virginia Mountaineers“.
- Crap. Saw like three different freakin’ apps claiming to be official or connected! One for tickets, one for “WVU Sports”, one just “Mountaineers”. Which one?!
- Took a breath. Read the descriptions super carefully. The “WVU Athletics” app looked most legit, mentioning schedules directly. Downloaded it.
- Opened it. Accepted notifications (hoping for schedule alerts). Navigated to Men’s Basketball. Found the “Schedule” tab.
- Bingo. Right there, plain as day. Full 2025 schedule listed! Dates, times, opponents – everything. Felt so dumb for wasting hours elsewhere. The app actually had it perfectly formatted.
Lesson learned? Forget web searches and wading through forums when schedules first drop. Go straight to the official team app. It might look messy having multiple options, but the main Athletics one usually has it locked down fast and clean. Saved that whole 2025 slate offline immediately.
