Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings: QB, RB, WR, TE (Who to Start, Who to Bench)

Alright, so week 2 of fantasy football, huh? Let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster getting my rankings sorted. I started by scouring the web, looking at every “expert” list I could find. You know, the usual suspects – ESPN, *, all those guys.

Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings: QB, RB, WR, TE (Who to Start, Who to Bench)

I opened up about ten different tabs, flipping back and forth, trying to make sense of all the conflicting opinions. One site would have Player X ranked in the top 10, while another would have him barely in the top 20. It was madness!

Digging into the Data

Next, I pulled up my own spreadsheet – yeah, I’m that guy. I started plugging in stats from Week 1. I looked at things like targets, receptions, rushing yards, and touchdowns. I wanted to see who was actually getting the ball and doing something with it.

I spent a good chunk of time digging into things.

  • Who’s injured?
  • Who’s got a tough matchup this week?
  • Who’s playing at home versus on the road?

I jotted down notes for each player, trying to weigh the pros and cons. For example, I had one receiver who had a great Week 1, but he was going up against a top cornerback in Week 2. That made me think twice about ranking him too high.

Trusting My Gut

After all the data crunching, I took a step back and just…thought. Sometimes, you have to go with your gut feeling, right? There’s always that one player who you just know is going to have a big game, even if the numbers don’t necessarily support it.

Finally, I started putting my rankings together. I went position by position, agonizing over each spot. Moving players up and down, debating the merits of one guy over another. It was a slow process, but I wanted to make sure I felt good about my list.

In the end, I had my Week 2 rankings. Were they perfect? Probably not. But I put in the work, did my research, and made the best decisions I could. Now, it’s just a matter of sitting back and seeing how it all plays out. That’s the beauty of fantasy football, isn’t it? You never really know what’s going to happen!
