So I’m scrolling through my morning coffee routine yesterday when the UWSP athletics email hits my inbox. Figured I’d check it later but that subject line jumped out at me – baseball schedule drop! Snapped my laptop open like it was game seven bottom of the ninth.

Tracking Down the Details
First thing I did? Bolted straight to the official athletics website. Scrolled past all the basketball updates till I spotted the baseball section. Took three tries to find the actual schedule page – gotta admit their site navigation could use some work. But bam! There it was in big bold letters: “2025 Baseball Schedule.” Clicked that faster than a fastball down the middle.
Marking My Calendar
Started scanning dates like a hawk hunting prey. Scrunched my eyes real close at the screen when I saw May 3rd circled on my kitchen calendar. Double-checked – yep! Same date as UWSP vs UW-Whitewater showdown. Grabbed my red Sharpie and made a giant star right on my physical planner. Old school? Maybe. But ink on paper feels real.
Then my phone buzzes – it’s my cousin Joey who played college ball. Shot him a text: “You seeing these matchups?” His reply came lightning fast: “The Luther College doubleheader! Throwback city!” Had totally missed that April gem. Immediately added two more stars on my calendar.
Setting Reminders
Punched all the key home dates into my phone reminders with emojis – mitts for games, fire for rivals. Almost choked on my coffee noticing finals week overlaps with the conference tournament. Better tell my students early I won’t be grading papers that Wednesday.
Final count? Marked twelve can’t-miss games between conference rivals and regional battles. Left my planner looking like a kindergartener’s art project with all those stars and scribbles. Totally worth it though – already counting days till first pitch!
