So this whole thing started cuz my boy’s trying out for college ball next year. He mentioned UMASS Boston, and I’m like “Wait, when does their 2025 season even kick off?” Figured I’d find that schedule fast. Spoiler: it wasn’t that easy.
The Search Begins
First thing Tuesday morning, coffee in hand, I punched “UMASS Boston baseball 2025 schedule” into Twitter. Figured their official account would’ve posted it loud and proud. Damn search results showed nothing but old game highlights and recruiting stuff. Nada. Zip. Felt like shouting into a void.
Switched gears and went straight to the UMASS Boston athletics website. Clicked “Baseball” under sports. Eyes scanned the page… only saw the 2024 schedule sitting there like last year’s news. No tabs, no dropdowns hinting at 2025. Just crickets.
The Deep Dig & The Click Parade
Started clicking everything vaguely related:
- “News” section: Nope, just game recaps.
- “Composite Schedule”: Still stuck on 2024 games.
- Social media links: Twitter, Instagram… same old posts. Felt like running in circles.
Got that familiar online frustration where you just keep clicking hoping something changes.
Thought maybe it was hidden. Found a page listing conference schedules and dove in. Lots of teams, dates flying past… but no UMASS Boston listed. Dead end. Sat back, sighed. This was taking way longer than it should.
The Big Break (Finally!)
Was ready to give up, honestly. Decided one last desperate scroll through their Twitter. Scrolled down… down… past months of posts. And there it was! Buried way back from April 2nd. A single tweet: “Beacon Nation! Our complete 2025 Baseball Schedule is HERE!” with a link (obviously can’t put it here). Didn’t shout it loud, didn’t pin it, just tossed it out there like leftovers.
Clicked faster than my kid stealing the last cookie. Boom! Full PDF schedule popped up. Saw it clear as day now: opening day is February 15, 2025, at Rollins College in Florida. First home game later, on March 1st against Worcester State.
Done… And Some Thoughts
Closed the laptop. Mission accomplished. But man, what a hunt for something that should be front and center. Shouldn’t have to be an archaeologist to find a damn college baseball schedule. Makes me wonder how many folks just give up and miss it. Learned a lesson today: sometimes the info is out there… just hiding in the last place you thought to look. Gotta dig deep.
