So, today I’m hitting up Tropical Park for some tennis. I’ve heard good things about the courts there, and the weather’s just perfect for a game. First off, I grabbed my gear – racket, balls, the usual stuff. I made sure to pack some water too, ’cause you know how it is under the sun.

I drove over to the park, and let me tell you, finding parking was a bit of a hassle. It was pretty packed, probably because of the nice weather. But hey, I finally snagged a spot and walked over to the tennis area.
The Courts
- First Impression: The courts looked decent, well-maintained.
- Surface: They’re hard courts, which is my favorite.
- Nets: The nets were in good shape, not sagging or anything.
I started with some warm-up swings, just getting a feel for the court. Then I practiced some serves. The bounce was consistent, which is always a good sign. I played a few practice sets, focusing on my forehand and backhand. It felt good to get back into the rhythm.
After a while, a couple of guys asked if I wanted to join them for doubles. I thought, why not? It’s always more fun with more people. We played for about an hour, and it was a blast. We were all pretty evenly matched, so the games were competitive and exciting.
Once we wrapped up the doubles, I did some cool-down stretches. Gotta take care of those muscles, you know? Then I packed up my stuff and headed out. Overall, it was a solid day of tennis at Tropical Park. I’ll definitely be back. Maybe next time, I’ll try to get there a bit earlier to beat the parking rush.
