Okay, so today I decided to dive deep into the world of NFL injured reserve (IR) players. It all started when I was trying to update my fantasy football roster and realized half my team was on IR. I needed a better way to track these guys!

My Starting Point
First, I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen – yeah, I’m old school sometimes. I started jotting down the names of all the players I knew were on IR. My list quickly became a jumbled mess of names, teams, and injury types. I realized I needed a more organized approach.
Getting Digital
So, I fired up my laptop and opened a new spreadsheet. This was already better! I created columns for “Player Name,” “Team,” “Position,” “Injury,” and “Expected Return Date.” I felt like a real data analyst… for about five minutes.
Next I try to collect all players’ name.
- First step, open NFL official website.
- Second step, click “player” and find everyone.
- Third, copy their information to my sheet.
The Hard Work (and the Frustration)
The real work began when I started researching each player. I wanted to find players and their teams on IR.
This part took a while, it’s look boring. I began feel frustrated.
Finally complete
But I completed, I got all I want, I orgnized all players and filled the data to my sheet. That’s a huge project.
But this is just the beginning, I need to try other way to improve it!
