Can you believe that? Just from hittin’ a little ball! He must be pretty good. Twenty Grand Slams, whatever that is. Sounds fancy. That’s a lot of somethin’, I reckon. He must be rollin’ in it, that’s for sure.
But then there’s this other fella, some Romanian fella, Ion Tiriac. Now he’s got some serious dough. They say he’s got two billion! Two BILLION dollars! Just imagine that. More money than you could ever spend in a lifetime. Now, he played that tennis too, and even some hockey game. He was in the Winter Olympics, whatever those are. Must be cold, I bet. But now, he is a big shot businessman. Smart fella, that Ion.
But here’s another one for you, a girl named Emma. They say she is a rich girl, her family has a lot of money. They call her some kinda heiress. But she is also a tennis player. Emma Navarro, that is the name. I heard she won big at some awards thing. Good for her, I say. She must be enjoyin’ her life. Playin’ tennis and rich, too!
And you know what? There’s a whole bunch of ’em, these tennis folks. Rakin’ in the dough. They say the top 20 of ’em, they’ve made over a billion dollars, just in prizes! A BILLION! Can you imagine, that much money just from a game. There is that Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, and Rafael Nadal. Those names I hear a lot. They must be good at tennis, I guess.
Now, me? I don’t know much ’bout this tennis game. But I know money when I hear it. And these folks, they got a lot of it. You see them on the TV, all fancy-like, hittin’ that ball. They make it look easy. But I bet it ain’t. Takes a lot of work to get that good, I reckon. And to make that much money? Well, that takes somethin’ special.

Enough to buy a new pair of shoes, maybe. Or a nice, warm blanket for the winter. These tennis players, they got it good. They really do. But I’m not complainin’. Just sayin’ they got a lot of money, playin’ that tennis. A whole lot of money. That Ion Tiriac, he is probably the richest tennis player of all time. Two billion, imagine that. Well, I reckon I’m gonna go get me a cup of coffee now. All this talk of money’s made me thirsty.
