Top 20 NFL Fantasy Players 2024: These Are the Must-Have Players This Year!

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with fantasy football for a while now, and with the 2024 season coming up, I figured I’d try to get a jump on things. My goal was to come up with a list of the top 20 players I think will be killing it. Here’s how I did it.

Top 20 NFL Fantasy Players 2024: These Are the Must-Have Players This Year!

First off, I started by looking at last year’s stats. I opened up a bunch of websites that track this stuff – you know, the usual suspects. I wanted to see who was consistently scoring big. I made a big list of all the top performers from last season, writing down their total fantasy points and their average points per game.

Then, I started digging into what changed since last year. Who got traded? Who retired? Are there any hot rookies coming in? This part took a while. I was reading articles, checking out team rosters, and even scrolling through some social media to see what people were saying. The tricky part is, some news about players’ off-season performance is not widely released yet.

Next, I tried to factor in things like the strength of each team’s schedule. You know, if a player is going up against tough defenses all season, they might not score as much. I also looked at each player’s team situation. Did they get a new quarterback? Is their offensive line looking solid? All that stuff can make a big difference.

After that, I started ranking the players. This was the hardest part, honestly. It’s not just about the numbers, you gotta use your gut a little bit too. I ended up with a list, but I was still second-guessing myself on a few guys. So I decided to check out what some of the “experts” were saying. I compared my list to theirs, made a few tweaks here and there, but mostly stuck to my guns.

My Top 20 – Let’s Get to the Good Stuff

Here’s what I finally came up with for my top 20 fantasy players for 2024. Keep in mind, this is just my take, and things can definitely change before the season starts. But based on what I’ve seen, these are the guys I’d be targeting in my draft:

  • Christian McCaffrey – Dude’s a beast, no explanation needed.
  • CeeDee Lamb – I think he’s gonna have another monster year.
  • Tyreek Hill – Still one of the fastest guys in the league.
  • Justin Jefferson – Even with a new QB, he’s too talented to ignore.
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown – He’s become a go-to guy for his team.
  • Bijan Robinson – Hoping he keeps up the momentum from last year.
  • Ja’Marr Chase – Another guy who’s just always a threat.
  • Breece Hall – If he stays healthy, he’s gonna be a stud.
  • Austin Ekeler – He’s getting older, but still a solid producer.
  • A.J. Brown – Always seems to find the end zone.
  • Garrett Wilson – Could have a breakout year if his team’s offense improves.
  • Saquon Barkley – Change of scenery could be good for him.
  • Jonathan Taylor – Another guy who’s amazing when healthy.
  • Puka Nacua – Came out of nowhere last year and impressed everyone.
  • Travis Etienne Jr. – Should get plenty of touches.
  • Nick Chubb – Hoping he bounces back strong from his injury.
  • Josh Allen – Yeah, he’s a QB, but he scores like a running back.
  • Kyren Williams – He was a pleasant surprise last season.
  • Chris Olave – Another young receiver with a ton of potential.
  • Stefon Diggs – He moved to Houston, so will have to see if he is still the same guy from Buffalo.

So, that’s my list! I spent a good chunk of time on this, and I feel pretty good about it. Of course, I’ll be keeping an eye on things as we get closer to the season, and I’ll probably make some adjustments. But for now, this is where I’m at. What do you guys think? Who are you targeting in your fantasy drafts?
