Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with fantasy football for a while now, and the new season’s just around the corner. Naturally, I started thinking about who I wanted on my team this year. I figured, why not make a list of the top 100 players for 2024? Seemed like a good idea at the time.

First, I grabbed my laptop and opened up a new spreadsheet. You know, keeping it simple. I started by just jotting down the names that immediately came to mind. The big ones, you know? The guys who always put up huge numbers.
Then, I started looking at some stats from last season. Who were the top scorers? Who got injured? Who’s on a new team? That sort of stuff. It was a bit of a mess, to be honest. Lots of numbers flying around. I found some good lists with last year’s numbers that I could look at.
After that, I started thinking about rookies. There are always a few who come out of nowhere and have great seasons. So I did some digging on the draft, read a bunch of articles about the top prospects, and added a few names to my list.
Next up was trying to figure out which players are in good situations this year. Did a team upgrade their offensive line? Did they get a new quarterback? Those things can make a big difference. It involved lots of searching around online. I checked every team and made a list of any changes that could affect player performance.
I spent a good few hours on this, moving names up and down the list, arguing with myself about who should be ranked higher. It’s tough, you know? You gotta balance past performance with future potential.
Finally, I had my list of 100 players. It’s not perfect, of course. There will definitely be some surprises, and some guys will get hurt. But it’s a starting point. I felt pretty good about it.
My Top 10 (For Now)
- 1. A Really Good Running Back
- 2. Another Star Running Back
- 3. A Top-Tier Wide Receiver
- 4. Another Great Wide Receiver
- 5. An Elite Quarterback
- 6. A Reliable Tight End
- 7. Another Solid Running Back
- 8. A Wide Receiver With Huge Upside
- 9. A Veteran Quarterback
- 10. A Promising Rookie Running Back
So yeah, that’s how I put together my top 100 list. Now it was time to make sure I saved the file, and then I closed it and turned off my laptop. I decided to call it a day. We’ll see how it all shakes out during the season. Fantasy football, man, it’s a wild ride. But that’s what makes it fun, right?
