Top 100 Fantasy Football Players: Expert Picks and Projections are here!

Okay, so I decided to get serious about my fantasy football league this year. I always just kinda wing it, but this time I wanted to actually try and win. So, I thought, “I gotta make a top 100 list of players.” Sounded simple enough, right? Wrong!

Top 100 Fantasy Football Players: Expert Picks and Projections are here!

Getting Started

First, I opened up a blank spreadsheet. Just staring at that empty grid was intimidating. Where do I even begin? I decided to start with the obvious: quarterbacks. I jotted down the big names – you know, Mahomes, Allen, Hurts, the guys everyone talks about. That filled up, like, the first ten spots easy.

Digging Deeper

Then came the running backs. I started looking at last year’s stats, trying to figure out who consistently put up points. I got sidetracked a few times, reading articles about potential breakout players. I added a few of those guys to my list, hoping I’d stumbled upon some hidden gems.

  • Spent an hour just comparing running back stats. My eyes started to glaze over.
  • Realized I needed to factor in injuries. Some guys were amazing last year but are coming back from major injuries.
  • Added a column to the spreadsheet for “risk level.” High, medium, low – gotta keep track of that stuff.

Wide Receivers and Tight Ends… Oh My!

Next up: wide receivers. This is where things got tricky. There are SO many good receivers! I ended up with like 30 guys I wanted to squeeze into the top 50. This is when I started questioning my entire life choices. Why did I think this was a good idea?

Tight ends were a little easier, thankfully. There are a few elite guys, and then a big drop-off. I penciled in Kelce, Andrews, and a couple of others, and then moved on.

The Ranking Struggle

Now came the hard part: actually ranking them. I spent hours moving players up and down the list. One minute I was convinced Player X was a top-20 pick, the next minute I was bumping him down to 40. It was a constant battle.

  • Argued with myself about the value of consistent players versus high-ceiling players.
  • Googled “sleeper picks” way too many times.
  • Considered throwing my laptop out the window at least twice.

Finally Done! (For Now…)

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I had a top 100 list. It’s probably not perfect, and I’m sure I’ll change it a million times before the draft, but it’s a start. I feel a little more prepared, a little more confident. Now, let’s see if all this work actually pays off!
