They got a whole bunch of them. I saw ’em when I went with my granddaughter, she needed new sneakers for her school, what they call runnin’ shoes. She likes to run, that one. Always runnin’.

They got another kind, called “Birkenstock”. Now, those are different. They got this thick sole, made of cork, I think. They kinda mold to your feet, they say. Supposed to be real good for your feet. My neighbor, Mildred, she swears by ’em. Says they helped her with her bunions.
She’s got feet worse than mine, bless her heart. These academy sports womens sandals, these Birkenstock ones, they’re a little more money. But Mildred says they’re worth it. Last a long time, she says. A good price for something that will last.

Now, they got lots of other kinds too. Some that look like they’re made for hikin’. Got thick soles and lots of straps. Good for walkin’ around, I suppose, if you’re into that sort of thing. I prefer to sit on my porch and watch the world go by, but that’s just me.
They got some that are just for the beach. Made of plastic or somethin’. You can get ’em wet and they won’t fall apart. Good for walkin’ in the sand. And a good price if you are just wearin’ them for the beach. We don’t have much sand around here, though. Just dirt and rocks.
They got some that are all fancy. Got heels and everything. I don’t know who’s wearin’ those to the sporting goods store, but they got ’em. Maybe for a party or somethin’.
