Alright, so just yesterday my nephew texts me all fired up about Sheridan High football games this season. Wants me to take him to the opener but has zero clue when it is. Figured I’d bang this out real quick before lunch. Here’s exactly how I hunted down that schedule.

The First Dumb Mistake
Started by typing “Sheridan football schedule” straight into Google like a lazybones. Big surprise – got buried under ticket sites, decade-old forums, and some Indiana high school with the same name. Total waste of eight minutes.
Switching to the Smart Approach
Remembered how school websites usually have actual info. Pulled up the Sheridan High homepage on my phone. Scrolled past lunch menus and PTA notices forever until I spotted the “Athletics” tab hiding near the bottom right corner.
Inside athletics section:
- Saw “Football” under Fall Sports
- Clicked and found a grayed-out “2021 Season” page (useless)
- Spotted tiny “Calendar” link above it
Boom – full 2024 schedule popped up! Printed it right there at my desk. Took maybe four minutes after the Google fail.
Pro Tip I Figured Out
Turns out the calendar defaults to showing current month only. Had to hit the arrow on mobile to see September/October games. Almost missed half the season thinking it wasn’t loaded!
Final schedule looks like:
- Aug 30 vs. Riverton (that opener he asked about)
- Sep 6 @ Glenrock
- Sep 13 vs. Torrington
- …full list through playoffs…
Showed my nephew how to pull it up himself next time. Kid thought I was some tech wizard – hilarious since I almost gave up after that first Google mess. Always go straight to the source website, folks.
