Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post, following all your instructions:

Alright, so I decided to dive into this whole “top 200 PPR fantasy football” thing. I’ve always been a casual fantasy player, you know, just joining a league with friends, not really taking it too seriously. But this year, I wanted to actually, like, try.
So, first thing I did was… well, Google it. “Top 200 PPR fantasy football rankings.” Yep, that’s about as basic as it gets. I figured there’d be tons of lists out there, and I was right. I ended up looking at, like, five or six different ones. ESPN, Yahoo, CBS, you name it, I probably checked it out.
The next step, and this took a while, was creating a big old spreadsheet. I’m a big fan of my spreadsheet. I basically copied and pasted all the names from those different lists into my spreadsheet. It was a mess at first, just a giant wall of names. So, I spent a good chunk of time cleaning it up – adding columns for their positions, their teams, their projected points (from various sources, I just averaged them, real scientific, I know).
Then came the fun part (well, fun for a nerd like me). I started comparing the rankings. Like, where did ESPN have Player X ranked versus Yahoo? Were there any big differences? And man, there were! Some guys were all over the place. It made me realize how much, you know, opinion goes into these things. There’s no one “right” answer.
My “Secret” Formula (It’s Not Really a Secret)
I decided I needed my own system. So, I started tweaking things. I gave a little more weight to the rankings from sites I trusted more (based on, uh, gut feeling, mostly). I also looked at some player stats from last year – things like targets, receptions, and touchdowns. Again, nothing groundbreaking, but it helped me get a better feel for each player.
I spend two day to finish my work, adjust players position, and think more about it.
After all that messing around, I finally had my top 200 list. It’s probably not perfect, and I’m sure it’ll change a bunch as the season goes on. But it’s mine. It’s based on my (somewhat questionable) research and my (definitely biased) opinions. And that’s what makes it fun, right?
The biggest takeaway from all this? Don’t just blindly follow one list. Do a little digging, make your own judgments, and most importantly, have fun with it. It’s just a game, after all… a game I’m now slightly more obsessed with than I was before.
