NFL Mock Drafts Simulator: Your Guide to Draft Day Fun!

Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something I’ve been seeing all over the internet – NFL mock drafts. I’m a huge football fan, and with the draft coming up, it’s fun to guess who’s going where. But instead of just reading other people’s predictions, I decided to try running my own mock draft using one of those online simulators.

NFL Mock Drafts Simulator: Your Guide to Draft Day Fun!

First things first, I needed to find a good simulator. I just Googled “nfl mock drafts simulator” and a bunch of options popped up. I didn’t really have a preference, so I just picked one that looked clean and easy to use.

Getting Started

Once I got to the site, it was pretty straightforward. I could usually select a few options, like:

  • Which team I wanted to control: Sometimes I like playing GM for my favorite team, other times I just let it randomly assign me.
  • The draft order: Some simulators let you use the current projected order, while others let you randomize it or even create your own.
  • Difficulty setting: To decide how smart or how crazy I will running.

I messed around with the settings a bit, choosing my team, I usually go with the default draft order, just to keep it realistic.

Making My Picks

Then came the fun part – actually making the picks! The simulator I used had a big board with all the top prospects, along with their college stats and positions. It also showed the needs of each team, which is super helpful.

I have to pick a player when my turn comes around, it felt like I was really in the war room! I was looking at team needs, player rankings, and trying to figure out the best fit. Sometimes I went with the obvious choice, other times I took a gamble on a player I thought was undervalued.

The Results

After going through all seven rounds (which can take a while, by the way!), the simulator gave me a summary of my draft class. It usually grades each pick and gives you an overall draft grade. It’s pretty cool to see how you did and compare it to other mock drafts out there.

Honestly, I spent way too much time doing this today. I ran like five different mock drafts, trying out different strategies and seeing how the results changed. It’s really addictive, and it definitely gets you hyped for the real NFL Draft!

It’s just a fun way to kill some time and pretend to be an NFL general manager for a few hours. I Will definitely do more of these in the future.
