Alright, so today I decided to dive into the world of NFL drafts with an online simulator. I’ve always been a huge football fan, and the draft is like Christmas morning for me. I wanted to see if I could build my own dream team, so I gave this simulator a shot.

Getting Started
First, I had to find a decent simulator. I just googled “nfl draft simulator” and a bunch of options popped up. I picked one that looked pretty straightforward and didn’t require me to sign up or anything. It was just a simple website, ready to go.
Making My Picks
Once I got the simulator running, it was my turn to play general manager. The interface was fairly easy to use. I had a list of all the available players, their positions, college stats, and even some mock draft rankings. I could filter by position, which was super helpful.
- First Round Pick: I needed a quarterback, so I went with the highest-ranked QB available. I didn’t overthink it too much. I just wanted a solid player to build around.
- Second Round Pick: My strategy here was to bolster my offensive line. I figured a strong O-line would protect my new QB and open up running lanes.
- Later Rounds: I mostly focused on best player available, regardless of position. I did try to snag a good wide receiver and a cornerback, though.
Trading Up and Down
The simulator also allowed me to make trades. I didn’t do a ton of wheeling and dealing, but I did trade down once to get some extra picks in the later rounds. It felt pretty realistic, like I was actually making decisions that could impact a team.
The Final Result
After going through all seven rounds, I had my team! It was cool to see all the players I drafted together. The simulator even gave me a little summary and a grade for my performance. I think I did okay, but it’s definitely harder than it looks. I think I got a B, that’s not a bad result, right?
Overall, it was a fun way to kill some time and pretend I was running an NFL team. I’d recommend it to any football fan who enjoys the draft process.
It gave me a whole new appreciation for how tough it is to build a winning team from scratch!
