NFL Depth Charts: Stay Updated on All Player Positions & Rankings!

Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with NFL depth charts. I’ve always been a huge football fan, and keeping track of who’s starting, who’s backing up, and who’s on the injured list is a constant thing for me. I figured, why not try to pull this info together myself?

NFL Depth Charts: Stay Updated on All Player Positions & Rankings!

First, I needed to find a good source of data. There are a bunch of sports websites out there, but some are easier to work with than others. I started by just Googling around for “NFL depth charts” and checking out a few of the top results.

Digging into the Data

After looking at a couple of sites, I noticed that a lot of them had similar layouts. They usually list the teams, then break it down by position – quarterback, running back, wide receiver, etc. And for each position, they’d show the starter, the second-string guy, and so on.

My initial plan was pretty simple. I wanted to grab the information of player and then save it.

So, I started to check the player information one by one. It was a bit tedious, but it got the job done. I copy and save all the info in my notebook.

Putting It All Together

Once I went through all the teams and positions, I had a big notebook full of depth chart data. It was kind of a mess, to be honest!

To organize things, I decide to write down all my findings in a more structured way. I grouped everything by team, then by position, and listed out the players in order. It made it a lot easier to see who was where on each team.

For example,I did this:

  • Team: Kansas City Chiefs
    • Quarterback:
      • * Mahome
      • * Gabbert
    • Running Back
      • 1. Isiah Pacheco
      • 2. Clyde Edwards-Helaire

I repeated this process for every team.I feel so good finally get my own NFL depth charts!

It’s not super fancy, but it’s exactly what I need. Now, whenever I’m watching a game or setting my fantasy lineup, I have a quick reference to see who’s playing where. Pretty cool, huh?
