Okay, so I’ve been trying to get a handle on all the NFL team depth charts for 2024. It’s a bit of a moving target, you know, with free agency, the draft, and all that. But I wanted to have a solid understanding before the season kicks off, so here’s what I did.

Digging In
First, I started by hitting up the usual suspects – the big sports websites. I figured they’d have the most up-to-date information, or at least something close to it.
Then I went team by team. I opened up a bunch of tabs, one for each team, and started looking at their official websites. Sometimes they have depth charts listed, sometimes not. It’s kinda hit or miss.
Compiling the Info
After that, I created a simple spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, just columns for team, position, and player names. As I browsed through the different sites, I started filling it in.
It was slow going, to be honest. Some teams were easy – clear starters, backups, and so on. Others were a total mess, with like five guys all vying for one spot. I tried to make notes of those situations, like “QB competition” or “RB by committee,” just to remind myself.
Checking and Double-Checking
Once I had a first draft of the spreadsheet, I went back and double-checked everything. I compared my notes to a few different sources, just to make sure I wasn’t way off base on anything. There were definitely a few discrepancies, so I tried to find the most reliable source and went with that.
I also looked at some fan forums and blogs. Sometimes those guys are really plugged in and have some inside info, but you gotta take it with a grain of salt, you know?
The Final Product (For Now)
So, after all that, I have a pretty good working document of the NFL depth charts for 2024. It’s not perfect, and it’ll definitely change as the season goes on, but it’s a solid starting point. I’ll keep updating it as news breaks, players get injured, and so on.
It’s a lot of work, but hey, I am all ready for this NFL season.
