Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with fantasy basketball for a while now, and I wanted to share my latest project: figuring out the top 10 players for this season. It’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell you.

First off, I started by gathering a ton of data. I mean, I was drowning in stats – points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, you name it. I pulled information from all over the place, different websites, you know, just trying to get a complete picture of how each player was performing.
After I had all this data, I dove into the analysis. This is where things got interesting. I started by looking at the basic stuff, like average points per game. But then I realized that wasn’t enough. Some players are great at scoring but terrible at defense. Others might not score a lot but are amazing at assists and rebounds. So, I had to take all of that into account.
One thing that really helped me was checking out each player’s “position rank.” It’s basically a way to see how a player stacks up against others who play the same position. It was super helpful in making tough decisions. Like, if two players had similar overall stats, but one had a way better position rank, that told me they were probably a more valuable pick for a fantasy team.
I also spent a lot of time comparing players head-to-head. This was crucial for breaking ties. For example, if two players had very similar numbers, I’d look at their game logs to see who was more consistent. Consistency is key in fantasy basketball, you know? You don’t want a guy who scores 30 points one game and then only 5 the next.
Then, I factored in things like injuries. Some players are amazing, but they’re always getting hurt. That can really mess up your fantasy team, so I had to be careful about that. I also considered each player’s team situation. If a guy is on a team where he’s the only star, he’s probably going to get more opportunities to score and rack up stats.
After days of crunching numbers and making spreadsheets, I finally came up with my list. It was tough to narrow it down to just 10, but here’s what I ended up with:
My Top 10 (In No Particular Order)
- Nikola Jokic – This guy is a beast. He can do it all.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo – Another all-around monster.
- Luka Doncic – Insane scoring and assists.
- Joel Embiid – Dominant scorer and rebounder.
- Stephen Curry – Still the best shooter in the game.
- Kevin Durant – When healthy, he’s unstoppable.
- Jayson Tatum – Young and only getting better.
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – A rising star, great at scoring and steals.
- Damian Lillard – Mr. Clutch, always puts up big numbers.
- Anthony Davis – If he stays healthy, he’s a top-5 player.
So yeah, that’s my process. It was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun. Hopefully, this helps some of you out there with your own fantasy teams. Good luck!
