Okay, so today I decided to finally get my act together and organize my fantasy football lists. It’s something I’ve been putting off, but with the draft coming up, I knew I had to buckle down.

First, I grabbed my laptop and opened up a blank spreadsheet. Gotta have somewhere to put all this info, right? Then, I started brainstorming. I thought about all the different positions I needed to consider: quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, kickers, and defense/special teams.
My “Must-Have” Players List
Next, I made a list of my “must-have” players. You know, the guys I absolutely have to have on my team. I jotted down a few names I’ve been following, guys who I think are going to have a killer season.
- Some star Quarterback
- A solid Running Back I believe.
- …And of course other great players.
Sleeper Picks and Value Players
After that, I moved on to my “sleeper picks” list. These are the players who might not be on everyone’s radar, but I think have the potential to be real game-changers. I did some digging online, read some articles, and watched some highlight reels to get a better feel for some lesser-known players.
Players to Avoid
Then came the not-so-fun part: the “players to avoid” list. This is where I listed guys who I think are overhyped or might be dealing with injuries or other issues that could affect their performance. It’s tough to rule some players out, but it’s all part of the strategy, I guess.
Once I had my lists for each position, I started ranking the players. This took some time, because I really wanted to think through my decisions and compare players based on their stats, potential, and overall value to my team. I kept rearranging things until I felt like I had a solid order.
Finally, I looked over my completed spreadsheet. It felt good to have everything organized and ready to go for the draft. Now I just have to hope my strategy pays off and I can snag the players I want!
