So yesterday I decided I wanted to put together a quick guide for us Mississippi State baseball fans about the 2025 schedule, specifically which games are gonna be absolute must-watches. Figured it might help folks plan their weekends!

Starting with the Dreaded Search
First thing I did? Opened my laptop. Went straight to the search engine. Typed in “Miss State 2025 baseball schedule”. Hit enter, feeling pretty good.
And bam! Tons of results came back. Like, way too many. News articles, fan forum speculation, the official athletics website buried somewhere in there. It was a bit overwhelming at first, gotta be honest. I just stared blankly at my notebook for a minute wondering where to actually find the confirmed dates.
Sifting Through the Clutter
Started clicking links. Clicked one… outdated news from last season. Clicked another… pure rumors. Clicked a third… finally landed on the official Mississippi State University Athletics site. Phew. Took way longer than I thought it would just to find the actual, official schedule. Bookmarked that page immediately.
The Real Work Begins: Finding the Heat
Now came the fun part: scanning the whole schedule. Started scrolling down month by month. Knew I was looking for the games that always get our crowd going bonkers:
- Ole Miss. Always circled twice. Found the weekend series in mid-April and punched the air. Big deal.
- LSU. Those Tigers games are brutal battles. Spotted the Baton Rouge trip in early May. Marked that down heavy.
- Florida, Arkansas, Texas A&M… Any of the big SEC powerhouse schools. Jotted down those weekend series dates as potential nail-biters.
- Opening Weekend. Found it! First series in February. Nothing like the buzz of the first home stand.
- SEC Tournament. Checked the official dates for Hoover later in May. Threw that on the list as a hopeful ‘if we get there’.
- Rivalry rematches from last year. Scanned for teams we had those extra-inning thrillers or tough losses against.
Basically, looked for any opponent name that makes you go “Ohhhhh yeah, that one.” and get super fired up just thinking about it.
Putting It Together & Hitting Post
Ended up with a decent list – about 10-12 key series or single games that stood out as the big ones. Wrote up short notes explaining why each one was chosen (mostly “because we hate losing to them” or “because beating them feels amazing”, you know the drill!). Kept it super straightforward. Typed it all out, added that bold title so it catches eyes in the feed, did one last skim to make sure I didn’t miss any obvious biggies, and finally hit the “post” button on my blog page. Done!
