Okay, so, I signed up for this thing called “flex league tennis.” It sounded interesting, you know, playing tennis on my own schedule. First off, I had to register on this website. It was pretty straightforward, just filled in some basic info, nothing too complicated.

After signing up, I got matched with other players in my area who are around my skill level. We have this whole season to play our matches, which is cool because I don’t have to stick to a rigid schedule. I can just message my opponents and find a time that works for both of us.
Here’s how a typical match goes:
- Find a time: I reach out to my opponent, and we agree on a day and time to play. Sometimes it takes a bit of back and forth, but we always figure it out.
- Book a court: We decide on a court that’s convenient for both of us. I usually try to find public courts that are free or cheap to use.
- Play the match: We meet up, warm up a bit, and then get into the game. We just play a regular match, usually best two out of three sets.
- Report the score: After the match, one of us reports the score on the website. It’s all honor system, so we just have to be honest about who won.
I’ve played a few matches so far, and it’s been a blast. I’ve met some cool people, and it’s a good way to get some exercise in. Plus, it’s fun to have a little friendly competition.
What I like about it:
- Flexibility: This is the biggest one. I can play whenever I want, as long as I can find an opponent who’s also free.
- Meeting new people: I’ve played against people I never would have met otherwise.
- It’s casual: There’s no pressure to win or anything. It’s just about having fun and playing some tennis.
What I don’t like:
- Finding courts can be a hassle: Especially during peak times, it can be tough to snag a court.
- Sometimes it’s hard to schedule: Life gets in the way, and it’s not always easy to find a time that works for both me and my opponent.
Overall, though, I’m really enjoying the flex league. It’s a great way to play tennis without a huge commitment, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a casual, fun way to get on the court. I decided to keep playing and tried to make to the top of the league. After working hard I finally reached the top!
