Okay, so, I’m a huge fan of fantasy football. I mean, who isn’t, right? Every year, I dive headfirst into these leagues with my buddies, and this year, I really wanted to step up my game. I’m not just talking about winning the occasional game. I wanted to dominate. So, I figured, the key to all this has got to be in the draft, and to nail the draft, I need some solid rankings.
I started digging around, you know, the usual spots. There is so much info out there, it’s kind of crazy. Some of it’s good, some, not so much. Anyway, I quickly realized I needed a way to sort through all this noise. It is just like when you prepare for your fantasy football draft, you will face a ton of questions. So I decided to create my own NFL draft rankings for fantasy. A custom list that makes sense for my league’s settings and my own gut feelings.
First thing I did was to get the lay of the land. I looked at all the major fantasy football platforms and saw what their default rankings were. This gave me a good baseline. You know, a starting point. Then, I started thinking about my league. We have some unique scoring rules, and I wanted my rankings to reflect that. So, I went in and started tweaking things. A player who might be ranked really high on one site might be a bit lower on my list because of how we score things in our league.

Then came the fun part. I started really diving into player stats, team situations, injury reports, everything I could get my hands on. I watched highlights, read articles, and listened to podcasts. I was like a mad scientist, but for fantasy football. I moved players up and down my list based on what I was learning. It was a lot of work, but it was also a ton of fun. It is similar to an autopick draft.
After all that, I had my rankings. My precious, custom-made NFL draft rankings for this fantasy season. They weren’t perfect, no rankings are, but they were mine. And I felt more prepared for my draft than I ever had before. When draft day finally came, I was ready. I had my list, and I stuck to it. I didn’t get every player I wanted, but I got a team I was really happy with. It felt good to see all that hard work pay off.
So, yeah, that’s my story of how I made my own NFL draft rankings for fantasy football. It was a journey, for sure, but a rewarding one. And who knows, maybe this will be the year I finally take home that championship trophy.
