This here, about Academy Sports womens jackets. You see, my old jacket, it gave out. Wore it thin, I did. So, I needed a new one. And these young folks, they all talkin’ ’bout this Academy Sports place. Said they got good stuff.
Well, I went lookin’. Lord, so many womens jackets! Big ones, small ones, all colors you can think of. Some of ’em, real puffy. Like them marshmallow fellas. Others, thin, like for when it ain’t so cold, just a little chilly, you know?
Academy Sports Jackets for Women
Now, I ain’t one for them fancy names. But they got all kinds. They got these Nike jackets, some folks like those. Expensive, though. I seen one, black, for that Liverpool. What is that, some kinda pool game? Anyways, it was over eighty dollars! Can you believe that? For a jacket!
And they got these other ones, Academy brand jackets. Those ain’t so bad. Cheaper, for sure. And they got some, look like they for the beach? Black ones, thin. Only seven dollars or so. Now that’s more like it. But I don’t go to no beach. Ain’t got no use for that.

They got sales, too. Gotta watch for them sales. Save a little money. And who don’t like to save money? You work hard for it, you don’t wanna just throw it away. This whole thing, buyin’ a jacket, it ain’t as easy as it looks. Too many choices!
So Many Choices!
I saw these womens jackets at Academy, some with hoods, some without. Some zip up, some got them buttons. Big buttons, little buttons. Some even got them, what do you call ’em, drawstrings? To make ’em tighter, I guess. Keep the wind out.
And the colors! Lord, the colors. Bright pink, blue, green. Even that camouflage stuff. Like you gonna go hide in the woods or somethin’. I just wanted a plain, normal color. Like brown, or maybe dark blue. Somethin’ that don’t show the dirt too much.
They got these long jackets, go down to your knees almost. And short jackets, barely cover your backside. I don’t know who wears them short ones. Don’t seem practical to me. Gotta keep warm, that’s the whole point of a jacket!

And they got all these different materials. Some of ’em, real soft. Like that fleece stuff. Feels nice, but I don’t know how long it would last. Seems like it would get all pilled up, you know? Like them old sweaters you get.
Then they got that shiny material. Like them raincoats. Keeps the water out, I guess. But it makes that swishy noise when you walk. Sounds like you’re wearin’ a garbage bag or somethin’. No, I didn’t like that much.
Find the Right Jacket
So, I looked and I looked. Tried on a few. Some too big, some too small. Some just didn’t feel right. It’s like findin’ a good pair of shoes, you know? Gotta be comfortable. Gotta fit just right.
Finally, I found one. A nice, warm jacket. Dark blue, like I wanted. Got a hood, in case it rains. Zips up. Got pockets, deep ones. Good for keepin’ your hands warm, or carryin’ a little somethin’.
It wasn’t too expensive, neither. On sale, it was. A good deal. That’s what I like to see. A good deal on a good jacket. This Academy Sports womens jackets, they got somethin’ for everybody, I guess. You just gotta look.
