Okay, so I’ve been wanting to mess around with one of those NFL draft simulators, just for kicks. I finally got around to doing it today, and it was pretty fun. Here’s how it went down.

Finding a Simulator
First things first, I needed to find a simulator. I just googled “NFL draft simulator” and a bunch popped up. I didn’t want anything too complicated, just something simple and easy to use. I ended up picking one of the first ones that showed up – seemed legit.
Getting Started
Once I got to the site, it was pretty straightforward. I think I chose the team I wanted to simulate for, I went with my team, obviously. I might have also picked the year or something, I don’t exactly recall. Anyway, it was super easy to get the ball rolling.
Making My Picks
Then came the fun part – making the picks! The simulator showed me which players were available at each pick, some basic stats, positions, and schools. I’m no expert, so I mostly went with positions of need and a few names I recognized.
- Round 1: I think I snagged a pretty good offensive tackle. My team always needs those.
- Round 2: Grabbed a wide receiver, because, why not? Can always use more weapons.
- Later Rounds: Honestly, it was a bit of a blur. I just tried to fill some gaps on defense and maybe snag a backup quarterback.
The Results
After I made all my picks, the simulator gave me a little summary of my draft class. It even gave me a grade, I am sure, I think I got like a B- or something. Not bad for a total amateur, right? It showed all the players I picked and their basic info. It was cool to see it all laid out.
My Thoughts
Overall, it was a fun little way to kill some time. I wouldn’t say it’s super realistic, but it’s entertaining. Maybe I’ll try it again closer to the actual draft and see if I can do better. Definitely a good way for a casual fan like me to feel a little more involved. Maybe I should have studied up more first, so I remember more detail, haha.
