Okay, so I’ve been meaning to share this for a while now, and seeing as it’s 2024, I figured, what better time? I got this itch to really get into football rankings, not just casually, but like, really understand them. So, I started from scratch.
First, I searched around for any site that showed rankings for 2024. I wanted the real deal, you know? Playoffs, AP Top 25, Coaches Poll, all that jazz. It was a bit overwhelming at first, honestly. So many sites, so many lists.
Then, I narrowed it down. I focused on sources like ESPN, because, well, they’re ESPN. They had a bunch of stuff on NCAAF rankings and even some NFL predictions. I spent a good chunk of time just reading through those, trying to absorb as much as I could.
But I didn’t just want to look at college football. The NFL was also on my radar. I found these “power rankings” and odds, which was a whole other world. I clicked around on team labels, read blurbs, and even found some stuff about bye weeks.
I decided to focus more on college football for now because the NFL season was a bit further out. I found this one guy, PicKell, who had his own top 25 rankings for the 2024 season. He had Georgia at the top, which seemed to be a common theme.
