So I’ve been looking for some solid sunglasses that can handle intense workouts without slipping or fogging up. Heard a lot about Oakley being great for sports, so decided to grab their women’s sport line.
Getting My Hands On Them
Went straight to the Oakley section at the mall – didn’t wanna risk buying knockoffs online. Found these matte black ones labeled “Sport Priority” with grippy rubber on the nose pads and arms. Sales guy kept bragging about the “Prizm lenses” whatever that means, said it makes colors pop during activities. Whatever, looked cool enough so I swiped my card.
First Run Test
Took them for a 5K jog next morning. Immediate win: zero bounce even when sprinting! The arms gripped tight but didn’t squeeze my head. But halfway through, sweat started pooling at the nose bridge. Wiped it with my shirt and smudged the left lens bad. Had to finish the run squinting.
Cycling Disaster
Next tried them cycling downhill. Holy crap – the wind resistance actually held them in place! But then hit a shady trail section. Couldn’t see roots on the path at all. Later realized these lenses are made for bright conditions only. Almost ate dirt twice.

Final Verdict After a Month
- Pros: Stays put during high intensity, comfy for long wear, UV protection legit
- Cons: Lenses scratch crazy easy, useless in low light, salty about the pool incident
Basically these shades are beasts for pure cardio in sunlight, but absolutely demand babying. Keep the microfiber pouch handy and don’t be dumb like me around water.
