Okay, so I wanted to share my little adventure trying to find a decent tennis store here in Vegas. I’m not a pro or anything, but I enjoy a good game of tennis now and then, and I really needed some new gear.

I started off by hitting up Google, just typing in “tennis store Las Vegas” like anyone would. The search results were, well, a lot. There were tons of listings on Yelp, Yellow Pages, all sorts of places. I saw names like “Game-Set-Match – Las Vegas,” “Rockwell Tennis,” and “Tennis Werx” popping up a lot. I also noticed a few mentions of bigger stores like DICK’s Sporting Goods and the Nike Factory Store.
So, my first stop was Game-Set-Match – Las Vegas. It sounded promising from what I saw online. When I got there, it was pretty cool. They had a good selection of rackets, shoes, and clothes. The staff seemed to know their stuff, too. I spent a good hour there, just browsing and chatting with one of the guys about the different rackets.
- Next, I decided to check out a couple of other places.
- I swung by Rockwell Tennis, which was smaller but still had a decent range.
- Then I went to Tennis Werx, and it was a bit more upscale, I guess. They had some high-end stuff that was way out of my league, haha.
After that, I thought, why not check out the bigger stores? I mean, sometimes you can find good deals there. I hit up the Nike Factory Store, hoping to snag some cool tennis shoes. It was a bit of a letdown, to be honest. Not much of a tennis selection, mostly just running and basketball stuff. I also tried DICK’S Sporting Goods, but it was kind of the same story – a small section for tennis, nothing too exciting.
I also stumbled upon a place called DragonRidge Tennis & Athletic Center. It wasn’t really a store, more like a club, but they did have a small shop inside. Mostly just basic stuff, though. And I saw something about “Tennis at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas” but figured that was probably more about the courts than gear.
Oh, and there was this one place, Urban Necessities, that came up when I was looking for tennis shoes specifically. It seemed more like a trendy sneaker store, not really what I was looking for.
My Final Thoughts
Honestly, Game-Set-Match – Las Vegas was probably the best out of all the places I visited. They had the best selection and the staff were really helpful. The other specialty stores were okay, but nothing to write home about. And the big-box stores? Yeah, not so much. It was a bit of a wild goose chase, but hey, at least I got a good look around at what Vegas has to offer for tennis players. And you know what? I ended up getting a pretty sweet racket and some new shoes at Game-Set-Match, so all’s well that ends well, right?
