Fantasy Football PPR Draft Rankings: Top Picks & Sleepers!

Alright, so I decided to get serious about my fantasy football league this year. I mean, really serious. No more last-minute draft picks based on gut feelings. This time, I’m diving deep into PPR (Points Per Reception) rankings. Here’s how I went about it:

Fantasy Football PPR Draft Rankings: Top Picks & Sleepers!

Gettin’ Started

First things first, I needed a solid source for rankings. you know find something I could trust.

Next, I fired up my trusty spreadsheet program. I needed to have my all notes.I copied those rankings over.

The Deep Dive

Now came the fun part, the real work. I started looking at each player, not just their overall ranking, but their history. I mean, were they consistent? Did they have a breakout season last year? Or was it a fluke? I checked:

  • Past Performance: How did they do in previous seasons? Were they trending up or down?
  • Team Changes: Did they switch teams? A new quarterback or offensive coordinator could totally change their output.
  • Injuries: Were they coming back from an injury? Was it something that could linger?

I consider all that stuff, making little notes next to each player’s name. green check, yellow question marks, and some red flags.

My Own Rankings

After the data, I started to create my own rankings. I didn’t just blindly follow the initial list. I adjusted things based on my research.

I moved some players up because I liked their situation. Some others went down a lot, due to question marks on their performance.

I even created tiers, grouping players with similar expected value. That helps me make decisions during the draft. I can easily see, “Okay, I need a running back, and these three guys are all in the same tier, so I’ll take whoever is available.”

The Final Product

Finally, I had my own, customized PPR draft rankings. I was actually excited for the draft.I felt ready. and I knew, I had done my homework.

It’s an ongoing process, of course. I’ll be updating these rankings throughout the preseason as news breaks (injuries, trades, etc.). But having this foundation makes me feel way more prepared than I ever have before. Wish me luck!
