I wanted to build a website about fantasy basketball categories, so I did some research online to see what’s out there.

First, I checked out some of the big names in fantasy sports like ESPN, Yahoo, and CBS. They have a lot of good info and different games you can play. There are also some other sites I found like NFBKC, BestBall10s, and Fantrax that seemed pretty cool too.
Figuring Out What to Include
After looking at those sites, I started thinking about what I wanted to include on my own website. I figured it’d be good to have stuff about the different scoring systems in fantasy basketball. Like, there’s Rotisserie, or “Roto”, where you get ranked in each stat category, and then there’s Head-to-Head where you try to win more categories than the other guy each week. I realized that you usually only want to ignore one or two categories at most when you’re drafting your team.
I also thought it would be helpful to list out the best sites for playing fantasy basketball. I saw a lot of people online saying that Yahoo is good, but Fantrax is even better if you want a really detailed league, like one with player salaries or a dynasty format. Some folks said that ESPN is good for drafting but Fantrax is better for everything else. They said once they switched to Fantrax, they never went back!
Putting It All Together
So, I started putting all this information together on my website. I made different sections for the scoring systems, the best fantasy basketball sites, and some tips for drafting and playing. I tried to make it easy to understand, even if you’re new to fantasy basketball.
- I created a section explaining Rotisserie scoring.
- I made another section about Head-to-Head scoring.
- I added a list of the top fantasy basketball sites, like ESPN, Yahoo, and Fantrax.
- I also wrote up some basic strategy tips for drafting and managing your team.
It took some time, but I finally got it all done! Now, I have a website that’s a good resource for anyone who wants to learn more about fantasy basketball categories.
