Draft Simulator NFL: The ultimate guide to practicing your draft strategy

Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this NFL draft simulator thing, and let me tell you, it’s pretty addictive. I’ve always been a huge football fan, and the idea of being able to play general manager, even if it’s just in a simulation, is super cool.

Draft Simulator NFL: The ultimate guide to practicing your draft strategy

So, I found this simulator online – there are a bunch of them out there – and I started playing around with it. First, you gotta pick your team. Now, I’m a die-hard Patriots fan, so of course, I went with them. But you can choose any team you want, which is neat.

Getting Started

Once you’ve got your team, the simulator throws you right into the draft. You see a list of all the available players, their positions, their college stats, all that good stuff. And you have to start making picks. It is not that complicated!

Making My Picks

  • Round 1: I had the 15th pick in the first round. There were some really talented quarterbacks available, but I decided to go with a wide receiver. We need someone who can stretch the field, you know? So I picked this guy, I can not spell his name, and let me tell you, he is a human being, a beast. Super fast, great hands, the whole package.
  • Round 2: In the second round, I focused on defense. I picked up a cornerback who’s supposed to be a real shutdown guy. He’s got great instincts and he’s not afraid to tackle. A guy with a lot of potential!
  • Round 3: Then, in the third round, I went back to offense. I grabbed a running back who’s a real bruiser. He’s not the fastest guy, but he’s tough to bring down, and he’s got good vision. We need somebody who can pound the rock, and he will do it perfectly.
  • Later Rounds: In the later rounds, I just tried to fill out the roster with the best available players. I picked up an offensive lineman, a linebacker, a safety, and another wide receiver. Just trying to build some depth, you know?

The Results

After I made all my picks, the simulator graded my draft. I got a B+, which I’m pretty happy with. I mean, it’s not an A+, but it’s not bad for a first try, right?

I spent hours on this thing, running through different scenarios, trying out different strategies. It’s a lot of fun, and it actually makes you think about what goes into building a football team. You have to consider team needs, player value, and the draft board, and a lot of other things. It is not easy to manage, there are a lot of things to consider. I tried to do several simulations, and got similar results.

If you’re a football fan, I definitely recommend checking out one of these draft simulators. It’s a great way to kill some time and test your GM skills. Just be warned, it’s easy to get sucked in! You might find yourself spending hours on it, like I did, haha. You should try it!
