Alright, so today I decided to mess around with creating a fantasy list for football. I’ve always been into fantasy sports, but never really dove deep into customizing my own lists. Figured it was time to change that!

Getting Started
First, I grabbed a pen and a notebook – yeah, I’m old school like that. I could’ve used a spreadsheet or some fancy app, but I like the feel of physically writing things down. It helps me think, you know?
I started by jotting down the positions: Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Wide Receivers, Tight Ends, Kickers, and Defense/Special Teams. Just the basics.
Brain Dump
Next, I just started listing out players. Anyone who came to mind, I wrote them down. No real order, just a big brain dump of names. I figured I could organize them later.
- Mahomes… obviously.
- CMC… gotta have him.
- Jefferson… the guy’s a beast.
- Kelce… best tight end, hands down.
- My local team defense, cause…why not.
And so on.
Ranking the Players
This is where it got tricky. I had this massive list, and now I needed to put them in some kind of order. I started with quarterbacks, because, well, they’re kinda important.
I went back and forth on a few guys. Like, is Burrow really better than Allen this year? I was really unsure about some.
I did the same thing for each position. Comparing stats, thinking about injuries, and generally just using my gut feeling. It’s fantasy football, after all, not rocket science!
Making Tiers
After I had a rough ranking, I decided to group players into tiers. Like, “Elite,” “Solid Starters,” “Potential Sleepers,” that kind of thing. It just made it easier to visualize where everyone stood.
The Final Product (for now)
Finally, I had something that resembled a usable fantasy list. It’s probably not perfect, and I’m sure I’ll tinker with it a ton before the season starts, but it’s a start! It’s something personal!
It was a fun little exercise. Made me think about the upcoming season and get even more hyped for it. Now, I just gotta wait for the drafts to start. I feel so good about it!
