Clinton Football Schedule Out Yet? View Roster and Full Season Planner

Man, been waiting for Clinton High’s football schedule to drop like it’s the next iPhone release or something. Every freaking morning this week, coffee in hand, I hit up that school athletic site. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Just last year’s champs banner staring back at me like it’s mocking my impatience.

So today I said screw it, dove into my “find the damn schedule” routine again. Fired up the laptop while chewing cold toast. First stop: the school district’s main page. Scrolled past lunch menus and PTA junk – boring stuff. Found the Athletics tab buried under “Student Activities,” clicked it. Same outdated homepage, still showing last season’s quarterfinal loss. Ugh. Annoying.

Checked Twitter next. Searched #ClintonTigersFootball – total waste of time. Just fan art and some dude complaining about refs from two years ago. Useless. Hopped over to the local paper’s site. Nothin’ new there either, just a blurb about summer training camp starting. Felt like hitting dead ends everywhere.

The Roster Breakthrough

Got desperate and decided to peek at anything football-related. Dug deeper into the school site’s archives and finally hit gold under some stupid submenu labeled “Resources”: the freakin’ 2024 player roster. Jackpot! Even sorted with jersey numbers:

  • QB – #7 – J. Harrison (Senior)
  • RB – #22 – M. Carter (Junior)
  • WR – #3 – T. Davis (Sophomore) … and like 30 others. Finally some real info!

Names mean nothing without knowing who we’re slamming against though. Back to hunting for dates. Remembered the league’s own godforsaken portal (thanks, past me for bookmarking that mess). Logged in after it reset my password twice. Scrolled past ads for mouthguards. Found the team directory. BAM. Clinton Tigers schedule right there, buried under “Conference 5-A.” Copied everything into my planner app like a madman:

  • Week 1: Aug 30 vs Central
  • Week 2: Sept 6 @ Riverside
  • Week 3: Sept 13 vs Oakwood … all the way to playoffs. Finally had my full season grid.

Sticking It All Together

Printed the roster and schedule. Taped ’em right above my dusty Xbox. Marked away games in red pen – gotta warn the wife about those traffic nights. Highlighted home games too. Felt stupidly proud of this scrap of paper after hours digging through internet junk. Athletic department still hasn’t officially posted it though. What a hassle.
