Chattanooga Area High School Football Scores Weekly: See Standings Here

So last Thursday, folks kept asking me “Hey, what’s up with the local high school teams this season?” Honestly? I had no clue. Felt kinda silly not having my finger on the pulse. So I figured, why not track ’em myself? Started simple: gotta collect those Chattanooga area high school football scores, see who’s crushing it. Just wanna know the standings, y’know?

Grabbing My Gear and Getting Started

First thing Friday morning, I dug through my junk drawer – found an old, crusty notebook and a pen that only kinda worked. Good enough. Decided I’d hit as many local games as possible over the weekend. Figured I’d jot down the scores right there in the stands, maybe chat up some parents for tidbits.

My Friday night plan went sideways almost immediately. Showed up to that game on Elm Street, packed solid! Couldn’t find parking anywhere, circled the block like a moron for 20 minutes. Finally squeezed into a spot two blocks away. By the time I got in, second quarter already started! Messed up my whole rhythm.

Dealing With the Chaos

Saturday was worse. Three games back-to-back-to-back across town. My notebook pages got soaked when that sudden downpour hit during the Jefferson match. Pen smeared everywhere – score for Raiders vs. Tigers looked like a Rorschach test! Had to whisper-beg the guy next to me: “Hey man, what did the ref just call? What’s the score now?” Felt like a total weirdo.

Later that night, back home cold and damp, I spread my pathetic, soggy notes on the kitchen table. Some team names were just scribbles I couldn’t decipher. Who plays the “Red W”?! Wildcats? War Eagles? No clue. Totally missed the final score updates for two games when my phone died. Aggravating.

Putting It All Together

Sunday morning, mission: salvage this mess. Brewed a giant pot of coffee and turned my dining room into a war room. Cross-checked my ruined notes with a couple local radio recaps I found, texted three different guys I knew who coached youth leagues. Took forever just to piece together who actually won what. Typed it all up finally – simple team names, scores, wins-losses. Did my best to build those standings from the ashes.

Honestly? Took way more sweat than I thought. But hey, now I actually know who’s leading the pack. And if folks ask? Got my little list right here.
