Okay, so I wanted to get a jump on my fantasy football prep for the 2024 season. I know, I know, it’s early, but I’m that guy. I started by looking at running backs, because, let’s be real, a solid RB can make or break your team.
First, I opened up my go-to fantasy football websites. you know.I’m not gonna name drop, it doesn’t matter anyway. I just scrolled through some of the early rankings and projections. Just to get a general feel for things, you know?
Then, I started digging a little deeper. I checked out some stats from last season. Stuff like rushing yards, touchdowns, receptions – the usual suspects. I also looked at things like carries, targets, and snap counts. I find usage is almost more important than the raw stats.
My Notes and Thoughts
- Christian McCaffrey is obviously at the top. No surprise there. Dude’s a machine.
- Bijan Robinson, I think He’s going to be a monster, the falcons will get him the ball.
- I jotted down some names of guys who might be sleepers. You know, the players that everyone else is overlooking but could have a breakout year. I always love a good sleeper pick.
- I also made a note of players who might be busts. The guys who are being hyped up but might not live up to expectations. Maybe they’re on a new team, or coming back from injury, or just plain overrated.
After that, I spent some time watching highlights. It helps me remember which players I liked, and which players were injured or are on new teams.
Finally, I put together my own preliminary rankings. It’s nothing fancy, just a simple list of the running backs I’m targeting for the 2024 season. It’ll definitely change a bunch of times between now and the actual drafts, but it’s a good starting point. It felt good to at least start thinking about this stuff!
