Alright, so I decided to get my feet wet with this whole NFL Fantasy Football thing, specifically a mock draft with PPR scoring. I’ve heard people talking about it, and it sounded like a fun challenge. So, I jumped in headfirst!

Best Players in NFL Fantasy Football PPR Mock Drafts

Getting Started

First, I needed to find a platform. A simple way to find is just do a search. I picked one of them randomly and hoped for the best. Then I joined a random public mock draft – 12 teams, PPR scoring. It’s go time!

The Draft Begins!

I got assigned a draft position, and I landed the 5th pick. Not bad, not great. I had to come up with a draft strategy and do some research.

  • Round 1: The first few picks went as expected – big-name running backs flying off the board. When it was my turn, I grabbed a top-tier running back. Gotta have that solid RB foundation, right?
  • Rounds 2-5: This is where things got interesting. I focused on grabbing the best available players, balancing between wide receivers and running backs. With PPR scoring, those receptions really add up, so I leaned towards receivers known for catching a lot of passes.
  • Middle Rounds: Time to look for value! I snagged a quarterback I liked, a tight end who seemed poised for a breakout year, and some running backs with upside for depth. You never know when injuries will hit, so having solid backups is key.
  • Later Rounds: I grabbed a defense/special teams unit and a kicker. I just choose what I thought may be a team with great scores.

Post-Draft Thoughts

After the draft was over, I was feeling pretty good about my team. I felt like I had a good balance of star power and depth. My final score was not bad, better than I thought. Now, it’s all just a waiting game to see how the season plays out.

This whole mock draft experience was definitely eye-opening. It’s a lot more strategic than I initially thought, and I can see why people get so hooked. I’m already thinking about my next mock draft and how I can tweak my strategy. Wish me luck!
