After that, I got into this tool, I don’t remember the name now, whatever, it was a tool that let you compare players side-by-side. You could see, like, expert opinions and stuff. It was kinda overwhelming at first, like, 100+ experts? Sheesh. But it was super helpful to see different perspectives, you know? You get a better idea of who’s really worth picking up and who’s just hype.
Next, I spent some time checking out some rankings. There are rankings for different types of leagues, like, roto and head-to-head. I mainly play in a head-to-head league, so I focused on those. It’s cool because they break it down by category, so you can see who’s good at, say, scoring, rebounding, or dishing out assists. Oh boy, also, there is this thing called “Position Rank”. I think it helps you understand how a player is doing against other players who play the same position. Pretty neat.
And then, there’s this whole other level of analysis where you can compare average draft positions with projections. What?! That was insane to me. It’s like, finding hidden gems. You can see which players are being undervalued in drafts based on what the experts think they’ll do. Wild, right? This is my favorite part, I think I can use this to find good players.
So yeah, that’s basically what I’ve been up to. It’s a lot, I know. But it’s fun, and it definitely makes the whole fantasy basketball experience way more interesting. Trust me, once you start comparing teams and players like this, you can’t go back. It’s like, a whole new world of strategy and, well, sometimes, frustration. But hey, that’s part of the game, right?
