Why I Needed This Checklist Bad
Last month felt like a dumpster fire when organizing my basketball cards. Almost bought a Zion silver parallel thinking it was from the 2025 Prizm set. Turned out it was last year’s leftovers with a scratched-off date. My wallet screamed. That’s why I hunted down a proper checklist before touching anything new.

Finding That Holy Grail Checklist
Started digging like a raccoon in trash cans for something free and easy. Found one buried deep in a forum thread some dude uploaded months ago. No fancy colors or pictures, just plain text screaming “2025 Prizm Base + Variants + Short Prints”. Printed it on my janky home printer – ink smudged everywhere, but hey, it worked.
Playing Detective With My Collection
Dragged every single card I owned onto the kitchen table. Followed the checklist line by line like my life depended on it:
- Checked base cards against the player list – yep, got that Cade Cunningham.
- Scanned parallels under a lamp like a mad scientist – found two Holo Silvers I totally forgot about.
- Dusted off a LeBron short print hidden behind a cereal box that almost got donated.
Marked each found card with a red pen circle. Looked like a toddler’s art project but kept me from double-buying garbage.
Shop Day With My Checklist Bible
Took that wrinkled paper to a card show last weekend. Flipped through dealer binders with the list in my sweaty palm. Spotted a Wemby “Rookie Cracked Ice” some guy claimed was rare. Checked the checklist. Nowhere on the SP section. Called his bluff. Felt like Sherlock Holmes saving $200 bucks.
Life After Not Screwing Up
Since using this? Zero “oops” buys. Organized my whole collection in a shoebox labeled PRIZM 2025 ONLY. Still find ink smears on my fingers though.
