Getting Started
So last Tuesday I brewed extra coffee and opened my dusty laptop around 7 AM. Saw tons of social media chatter about schedule changes for our Rams baseball team. Grabbed my spiral notebook and started digging through the chaos.

Verifying Sources
First I went straight to Angelo State’s athletics page – big mistake. The schedule section still showed last season’s games like a ghost haunting the website. Pounded my fist on the kitchen table when I saw that.
Next I called up Bobby, my neighbor whose kid plays outfield. He connected me with Coach Reynolds’ secretary. After three voicemails, she finally emailed over a PDF labeled “CONFIDENTIAL DRAFT.” That thing had more scribbles than my grocery list!
- Red marker edits on Feb conference games
- Sticky notes about relocated doubleheaders
- Handwritten notes like “RV parking ONLY at Tarleton”
Building the Master List
Spent Thursday cross-checking that mess with emails from the Lone Star Conference office. Highlighters exploded all over my desk:
Key changes I nearly missed:
- The March 15 matchup moved from Odessa to Abilene
- Senior Day pushed back a whole week to April 26th
- Night games at Foster Field now starting 30 minutes later
My cat jumped on the keyboard twice while typing this. Almost threw my lucky baseball cap at him when he deleted the Lubbock Christian entry.
Finalizing Everything
Triple-checked dates against the university calendar yesterday. Almost got burned because nobody mentioned Easter weekend affecting the Oklahoma series. Called the ticket office to confirm – turns out they’re doing split doubleheaders that Sunday.
Finally compiled the clean version this morning with all home/away tags. Looks like our Rams will face UT Permian Basin on April 12 at home under the lights. Mark your calendars!
