Ace Your PPR Mock Draft: Easy Steps for Fantasy Football 2024.

Alright, guys, so I decided to jump into another fantasy football mock draft today – you know, gotta stay sharp for the real deal! This time, I went with a PPR (points per reception) format, just to mix things up and see how it changes my strategy.

Ace Your PPR Mock Draft: Easy Steps for Fantasy Football 2024.

Getting Started

First things first, I logged into the draft platform. I usually use this one because I find it pretty user-friendly, the interface is clean and it’s easy to see who’s available.

The Draft Begins!

My draft position? 5th pick overall. Not bad, not amazing, but definitely workable. I was kinda hoping for a top 3 pick to snag one of those elite running backs, but hey, you gotta roll with the punches, right?

Round 1: With the fifth pick, I went with a wide receiver. He’s a total beast and a reception machine, perfect for PPR.

Rounds 2 & 3: I decided to double down on running backs here, even in a PPR format. I find it great for trade bait later in the season.

Middle Rounds (4-9): This is where things get interesting. I started loading up on more wide receivers. I also made sure to grab a solid tight end. Quarterback-wise, I waited a bit. There are usually some good value QBs later on.

  • Focused on players with high targets/receptions.
  • Looked for players with a history of consistency.
  • Tried to find some potential breakout candidates for later rounds.

Later Rounds (10+): Here’s where you take some chances! I picked up a couple of rookie running backs with upside, and a defense that I think might surprise some people. Also, you gotta grab your kicker somewhere in here, too.

Post-Draft Thoughts

Overall, I’m pretty happy with how my team shaped up. It feels balanced. I think it’s a good team that’s competitive.

The biggest takeaway from this mock draft? PPR really does change things! You gotta prioritize those guys who catch a ton of passes. It also makes running backs who are involved in the passing game even more valuable.

Doing these mock drafts is super helpful. It lets you test out different strategies, get a feel for player values, and just get your head in the game before your actual draft. If you haven’t done one yet, I highly recommend it!
