PPR Rankings Fantasy Football: Top Players to Draft This Season!

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with fantasy football for a while now, and this year I decided to really dive into PPR rankings. PPR, for those who don’t know, stands for “points per reception.” It’s a scoring format where players get points for every catch they make, in addition to the usual yards and touchdowns.

PPR Rankings Fantasy Football: Top Players to Draft This Season!

First, I jumped online and started looking at all sorts of different * know, all the experts show many different datas.

Digesting the Data

I spent hours, seriously, just staring at spreadsheets and charts. It was kind of overwhelming at first. I felt like I was drowning in numbers! But I kept pushing, trying to figure out which players consistently got a lot of receptions, even if they weren’t necessarily racking up tons of yards.

  • Wide receivers obviously became super important. Guys who are target hogs, even on short passes, their value shoots way up in PPR.
  • Running backs who catch a lot of passes out of the * became way more valuable than I initially thought.
  • Tight ends, it’s a bit of a mixed bag, Some tight ends are basically just big wide receivers, others are more traditional blockers. You gotta know the difference!

Building My Own Rankings

After all that research, I decided to try making my own rankings.I took all data, then I weighed receptions really heavily. I also factored in things like projected targets, offensive scheme, and even the quarterback’s throwing tendencies.

It was a lot of work, I won’t lie. I kept tweaking and adjusting, comparing my rankings to the “expert” ones, and trying to figure out where I might be seeing things differently.

The Result

Honestly, I’m pretty proud to see my final list! It’s definitely different from some of the mainstream rankings.I have got few surprises on my list.

The real test, of course, will be how my team actually performs this season. But even if I don’t win my league, I learned a ton about PPR rankings and how to analyze player value. That’s a win in my book!
