Alright, so I decided to get my hands dirty and create my own Top 200 Fantasy Football Rankings. I’ve always been that guy in my league who overthinks everything, so I figured, why not channel that energy into something productive?

Getting Started
First, I grabbed a bunch of rankings from different websites. You know, the usual suspects. I wanted a good mix of opinions to start with.
Then, I fired up a good old spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, just a place to dump all the data.
Diving into the Data
I started copying and pasting the rankings into my spreadsheet. It was tedious, I won’t lie. Player names, positions, rankings from each site… it was a lot of information.
-
Formatted the data. Making sure the player positions and names are consistent.
-
Combined all these rankings into one big list.
The Real Work
After collecting those, then came the fun part – tweaking everything! I started moving players up and down based on my own gut feelings, recent news, and some deep dives into stats.
- Injuries: I checked injury of players and adjusted the ranking of any injured players way down.
- Sleeper Watchlist: Watched a watchlist of some guys I think are going to be huge this year.
Finalizing My Rankings
After many hours of tweaking, comparing, and second-guessing myself, I finally had my Top 200. It felt good, like I had actually accomplished something.
I made sure to save a few different versions, too. You know, just in case I change my mind about a player or two (or twenty) later on.
So, that’s basically it. It was a long process, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Now, let’s see if these rankings actually help me win my league this year!
