NFL Fantasy Football PPR Rankings 2024: Who to Draft, Who to Avoid.

Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little experiment with putting together some 2024 PPR rankings for NFL fantasy football.

NFL Fantasy Football PPR Rankings 2024: Who to Draft, Who to Avoid.

First, I grabbed a pen and a piece of paper, good old-fashioned way, you know? I wanted to get my initial thoughts down without any distractions. I just started jotting down names – the big guys, the ones that always seem to rack up the points in PPR leagues. Think your Austin Ekeler, Christian McCaffrey… those kinds of players.

Brainstorming the Obvious

I filled up a page with names, not really worrying about order yet. Just a brain dump of everyone I could think of that I’d want on my team. It’s funny how many names you can come up with when you’re just free-associating.

Getting into some data

Then I jumped online. I didn’t look at any specific rankings. I looked at some stats, last year’s numbers, and I browsed some articles. I wanted to get to know the buzz, see who people were talking about as potential breakouts or sleepers.

The painful process

This is where things got messy. I took my initial list and started trying to put it in some kind of order. Oof, it was tougher than I thought! It’s one thing to know who the good players are, it’s another to say, “Okay, this guy is definitely better than that guy in PPR.”

I moved names up and down, scribbled things out, added new names, removed others. My piece of paper started looking like a battlefield. I must have rewritten the top 10 like five times. And the middle rounds? Forget about it! That’s where the real head-scratching happens.

  • Round 1-2: I felt very confident.
  • Round 3-5: I kept adjusting
  • Round 6+: Oh I gave up.

The final version

I ended up with something that I felt… okay about. It’s definitely not perfect, and I’m sure I’ll change my mind on a bunch of these guys as the season gets closer. But that’s part of the fun, right? It’s all just educated guessing anyway.

I am gonna use this in my draft. Wish me luck!
