Alright, so I wanted to get a better handle on how running backs in the NFL are stacking up this season. I decided to put together my own rankings, just for fun and to see if I could spot any trends.

Getting Started
First, I grabbed a bunch of stats. You know, the usual stuff: rushing yards, touchdowns, receptions, and all that jazz. I didn’t get too fancy with it, just wanted the basic numbers to start with.
Diving into the Data
Then, I spent some time just looking at the numbers, kind of like window shopping. Who’s putting up big yardage? Who’s finding the end zone? Who’s catching a lot of passes out of the backfield? I started noticing some names popping up more than others.
My Ranking Process (It’s Not Rocket Science!)
- Rushing Yards: Obviously, this is a big one. More yards usually mean a more productive back.
- Touchdowns: Gotta score points, right? Touchdowns are king.
- Receptions: In today’s NFL, being able to catch passes is super important for a running back.
- Consistency:Then I look at the consistency.I don’t need a detailed list of data, just someone who can deliver week after week.
Putting It All Together
After looking at all of that, I just started ranking them. It was mostly based on feel, honestly. Like, “Yeah, this guy feels like a top-5 back based on what I’ve seen.” No complicated formulas or anything, just my gut feeling combined with the basic stats.
It was a fun little project, and it definitely gave me a better appreciation for how these guys are performing. And who knows, maybe it’ll even help me win my fantasy * not, it’s still me.
