NFL Fantasy PPR Mock Draft: Expert Tips for a Winning Season!

Alright, guys, so today I dove into the world of NFL fantasy football and did a PPR mock draft. Let me tell you, it was a wild ride! Here’s how it all went down.

NFL Fantasy PPR Mock Draft: Expert Tips for a Winning Season!

Getting Started

First things first, I had to find a platform to do the mock draft. after that I Joined a random mock draft lobby – figured that was the best way to get a feel for a real draft situation.

The Draft Begins!

The draft started, and man, the pressure was on right away! Seeing those top-tier running backs and wide receivers fly off the board in the first round was intense. I was sweating, trying to decide if I wanted to go with a stud RB or snag a top WR.

  • Round 1-3: I focused on best player available, regardless of position. In PPR, you gotta grab those guys who are going to rack up catches.
  • Rounds 4-7: Started looking at team needs. Needed a solid QB, so I waited until there was a good value pick. Also, started thinking about tight ends.
  • Mid to Late Rounds: This is where things got tricky. It’s all about finding those sleepers, guys who might outperform their draft position. I went for some high-upside running backs and a few wide receivers on teams with good offenses.
  • Final Rounds: Grabbed a kicker and a defense. Don’t sleep on these positions, folks! They can win you weeks.

My strategy

My basic strategy going is was focusing on securing two top-tier running backs in the early rounds. I just felt much safer with those workhorses locked in.

After that, I hammered wide receivers. In PPR, those guys are gold. and I wanted a deep receiving corps.

Post-Draft Thoughts

After the draft, I used the draft analyzer to rate my performance. Also, I reviewed the entire draft board to see what other people did. It is helpful to see where certain players were going and get a feel for the overall draft flow.

Overall, I felt pretty good about my team. Did I make some reaches? Probably. Did I panic pick at least once? Definitely. But that’s all part of the fun, right? It’s all about learning and getting better for the real draft. Mock drafts are great practice, even if they’re just for fun.
