Dominate with Draft Ranking Fantasy Football,Simple Guide.

Alright, so the other day I decided to finally get my act together and figure out this whole fantasy football draft ranking thing. I’ve always just kinda winged it, picking players I recognize or like, but this year, I wanted to be strategic. You know, actually have a plan.

So, first, I opened up my laptop and fired up Google. I figured there’s gotta be tons of sites out there with rankings, right? And yep, I was right. I found a bunch – ESPN, Yahoo, CBS, you name it. I spent a good hour just clicking around, getting a feel for how different sites ranked players.

Then I realized something – just looking at pre-made rankings wasn’t enough. I needed to customize this thing for my league. We have some weird scoring rules, like extra points for long touchdowns and stuff. So, I grabbed a pen and paper (yeah, I’m old school like that) and started jotting down notes.

I decided to focus on the top 50 players first. I went through each site’s rankings and wrote down where they had each player. Then, I started to adjust based on our league’s scoring. Like, this one running back who’s amazing at catching passes? He jumped up my list because we get points per reception.

It was a bit of a mess, to be honest. My notes were all over the place, with arrows and cross-outs everywhere. But I kept going. I spent a good chunk of the afternoon tweaking and re-tweaking my list. I even downloaded a spreadsheet template I found online to help me organize things better.

Making the Sheet My Own

  • I put the player names in one column.
  • Then I added columns for each of the major ranking sites.
  • I created a “My Rank” column, where I put my own, adjusted rankings.
  • Finally I added a “note” column to record some extra info.

Finally, after hours of work, I had something I felt pretty good about. It wasn’t perfect, but it was way better than just winging it. I had a personalized draft ranking, tailored to my league’s specific rules. Now, I actually feel prepared for our draft. Let’s see if all this work pays off!
