Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole NFL Draft Fantasy Rankings thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a wild ride. I started off pretty clueless, just picking names I recognized, you know? Didn’t really have a strategy or anything.

First thing I did was to just look at some of the mock drafts people were putting out there. I figured, hey, these guys probably know more than me. I went through a bunch of them, trying to get a feel for who the supposed top players were going to be.
Then, I started digging into individual player stats. That’s where things got a little hairy. I was looking at college stats, combine results, everything I could find. Honestly, it was a lot of information. I ended up making a massive list, trying to compare players. It got messy pretty fast.
After that, I decided I needed to narrow it down. I started focusing on specific positions. Like, I spent a whole afternoon just looking at quarterbacks. I made a list of the QBs in the 2024 NFL draft. I tried to rank them based on what I thought made a good fantasy QB. You know, things like passing yards, touchdowns, rushing ability, the size.
- Caleb Williams
- Drake Maye
- Jayden Daniels
- J.J. McCarthy
- Michael Penix Jr.
- Bo Nix
I did the same thing with running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends. It took forever, but it started to feel like I was making some progress. I started making up the players list for myself.

Finally, I tried to put it all together. I made my own big board, ranking all the players I had looked at. It was rough, and I kept changing my mind about certain guys, but I did it. I feel like I have a decent idea of how the draft might go and who the key players will be for fantasy. It’s definitely not perfect, but I learned a lot along the way. It’s kind of cool to have gone from knowing nothing to having my own opinions on these guys. We’ll see how I did after the draft.
