Today I wanna share how I made a pair of tennis ball earrings. I’ve been seeing these cute earrings online, and they’re pretty pricey. So I thought, why not try making them myself? Plus, I love tennis, so this is perfect.
Gathering Supplies
First things first, I gotta gather all the stuff I need. I went to my local craft store and grabbed some yellow felt, earring hooks, jump rings, and some small beads that look like little tennis balls. I also got some fabric glue and a pair of pliers.
Cutting the Felt
Next, I took the yellow felt and cut out two small circles. They don’t have to be perfect, just roughly the size of a tennis ball. I used a small bottle cap as a guide to trace the circles. This was the most time-consuming part, I messed up a few times to get the right size.
Gluing the Beads
Once I had my felt circles, I started gluing the little tennis ball beads onto them. I put a small dab of fabric glue on each bead and placed them around the edges of the felt circles. I made sure to leave some space in the middle for the earring hook.
Attaching the Earring Hooks
After the beads were dry, I used my pliers to open the jump rings. I attached one jump ring to each felt circle and then attached the earring hooks to the jump rings. I made sure to close the jump rings tightly so the earrings wouldn’t fall apart.
Finishing Touches
Finally, I let the earrings dry completely. I also added a little bit of extra glue around the jump rings to make them extra secure. And there you have it! A pair of cute and unique tennis ball earrings that I made myself.
Wearing the Earrings
I’m so proud of how these earrings turned out. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and they look just like the ones I saw online. I’ve been wearing them to all my tennis matches, and I’ve gotten so many compliments. Plus, they were way cheaper than buying them from a store.
