Okay, so, let’s talk about fantasy football. I’ve been playing for years, and every season I try to up my game. This year, I decided to really dive deep into my draft strategy and figure out the top picks for 2024. Here’s how I went about it.

First, I gathered all the player stats from last season. I looked at everything – rushing yards, receiving yards, touchdowns, you name it. I even dusted off my old spreadsheets and started plugging in numbers.
Then, I started reading up on all the expert opinions. Now, I don’t always agree with the so-called experts, but it’s good to see what they’re thinking. I checked out a bunch of different websites, listened to some podcasts, and even watched a few YouTube videos. It was a lot of info to take in!
My Top Picks Research
After that, I started looking at team changes. You know, trades, free agency signings, coaching changes – all that stuff can really shake things up. I made notes on which teams got better, which teams got worse, and how that might affect individual player performance.
- Considered rookie players. Some of these guys are going to make a big splash, and I wanted to be ahead of the curve. I watched some college highlights and tried to figure out which rookies are going to be in a good position to succeed.
- Simulated a few mock drafts. This helped me get a feel for where players might be going and where I might be able to snag some value. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good way to practice.
Finally, I put together my own rankings. This is where it all comes together. I took everything I learned and created a list of players that I think are going to be top performers in 2024. It’s not an exact science, but I feel pretty good about it. The top of my draft board has some of the best players to pick from. I felt a little anxious about all of the new players that are coming in, but in the end, I felt I did a good job.
It was a fun research to do and I feel pretty good about it.
