So, today I was thinking, I gotta make a list for fantasy football players. I started with browsing around to see the latest rankings.

I looked at different websites and saw all these expert opinions. There were so many names and numbers, it made my head spin! But I figured, hey, everyone starts somewhere, right? I began jotting down some of the top names I kept seeing over and over again. You know, the big shots like Christian McCaffrey and CeeDee Lamb. These guys were always at the top of the lists.
Then, I started to think about the different positions. Quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, you name it. I tried to organize my list by position, but honestly, it got messy fast. I mean, there are so many good players out there, how do you even choose? I wrote down some more names, trying to get a good mix of each position. It was tough, but I kept going.
After a while, I realized I needed a better way to sort through all this info. I started comparing rankings from different sites. This one expert says this player is amazing, but another expert isn’t so sure. It’s like, who do you trust? So, I decided to look for consensus rankings. You know, where they average out all the expert opinions to get a general idea of who’s really good. That helped a lot.
I also checked out some depth charts. Those were useful to see which players are likely to get the most playing time. You want guys who are actually on the field, right? Otherwise, what’s the point?
Next, I looked at player projections for the 2024 season. Some sites had all these fancy stats and predictions. I don’t really get all that technical stuff, but I looked for players who were expected to do well. I added a few of those to my list, just to be safe.
By the end of it, I had a pretty decent list. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a good start. I had some top-tier players, some up-and-comers, and a few sleepers who might surprise everyone. Here’s a glimpse of what I ended up with:
- Quarterbacks:
- Patrick Mahomes
- Josh Allen
- Lamar Jackson
- Running Backs:
- Christian McCaffrey
- Bijan Robinson
- Saquon Barkley
- Wide Receivers:
- CeeDee Lamb
- Justin Jefferson
- Tyreek Hill
- Tight Ends:
- Travis Kelce
- Mark Andrews
- Sam LaPorta
Learnings
This whole process taught me a lot. Fantasy football is way more complicated than I thought! But it’s also kind of fun. There’s a lot of strategy involved, and it’s cool to see how different people approach it. I’m not saying I’m an expert now, but I definitely feel more prepared for the season. Plus, it was a good way to kill some time. Maybe I’ll even win my league this year! Who knows?
