Arctic Sport Womens Muck Boots: Are They Worth Buying?

Okay, so, I’ve been needing a solid pair of winter boots for ages. I live in a place where it gets pretty darn cold and snowy, and my old boots just weren’t cutting it anymore. My feet were always freezing! So, I finally decided to get myself some Muck Boots, specifically the Arctic Sport II model for women. Heard a lot of good things about them, figured it was time to try them out myself.

Arctic Sport Womens Muck Boots: Are They Worth Buying?

First off, I went with the mid-height ones. I didn’t really need the super tall ones, and I figured these would be easier to slip on and off. Plus, they looked pretty good from the pictures I saw. I chose a pair in this nice pink and gray color. Not too flashy, but a little bit of color is always nice, right?

When the boots arrived, the first thing I did was try them on, naturally. They felt a bit snug at first, but that’s probably because of all the insulation. They’ve got this fleece lining inside, which is super soft and cozy. And the neoprene, well, it’s supposed to keep your feet warm in really cold weather. I could immediately tell these were way warmer than my old boots.

  • Trying them out:
  • Warmth: My feet didn’t get cold at all! Even when I was standing around in the snow for a while, they were perfectly toasty. I’m pretty sure this is due to the fleece lining and the neoprene bootie.
  • Comfort: These boots are surprisingly comfortable. They have an EVA midsole, which I guess is some sort of cushioning. I could walk around in them all day without my feet hurting.
  • Traction: The soles have a pretty good grip. I didn’t slip or slide at all, even on icy patches.
  • Waterproofness: Kept my feet completely dry, even when I was splashing through puddles.

I’ve been wearing these boots for a few weeks now, and I’ve got to say, I’m impressed. We’ve had some pretty nasty weather lately – snow, ice, freezing rain, you name it. I decided to use these boots to shovel snow, walk the dog, and even just run errands.

Overall Thoughts

I am very happy with these boots. They do what they’re supposed to do – keep my feet warm and dry in the winter. If you’re looking for a good pair of winter boots, I’d definitely recommend checking out the Muck Boots Arctic Sport II. They might be a bit pricey, but they are worth it. Just make sure you try them on first, cause they should last a long time.
